Grow Bag Seedling

 

The seedling is produced in a 8-liter grow bag, with pre-punched drainage holes in accordance with the Chief Rabbinate's laws of Orla counting (fruit from the first three years of a tree's life are called orla and cannot be consumed).

A. Biennial seedlings – the grafting is done during autumn in September, before the Jewish New Year.

The biennial seedlings include: White Peach, Yellow Peach, Red Nectarine,

White Nectarine, Plum, Cherry plum, Apple, Pomegranate, Almond, Olive and Citrus

B. Annual (therophyte) seedlings – seedlings that are produced from shoots or seeds.

The annual seedlings include: Guava, Ccommon fig, Pecan, Pistachio, Passiflora edulis (passion fruit), Kiwi fruit, Olive ,Pomegranate, Dwarf Pomegranate, Myrtle, Chinese Pistache and Atlantic terebinth.

Shutan Nurseries offers a selection of rootstocks and varieties for each of the plant species.

All seedlings are produced and marketed in compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 and GLOBAL G.A.P international standards.

In addition, the seedlings are produced in accordance with the criteria of "Israeli Plant", controlled and inspected by the Plant Protection and Inspection Services Authority of the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and are under the supervision of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel, and the Institute for Agriculture According to the Torah of the Agricultural Research Organization, Volcani Center.
